Base Medical offers in-person WFA and remote WFA (via Zoom).
Both options require students to complete online lessons and hands-on training
Part One: 8 Hours of Online Learning
Take the online lessons at your own pace. Just be sure to complete the lessons before you attend the practical training.Part Two: Practical Training
Both the in-person and remote practical training are one day in length (8 hours) and include scenarios and skill practice. Keep scrolling to see our in-person and remote course dates!
Need to recertify but can’t find dates that work for you?
Recertify 100% Online
You will be required to complete the online wilderness medicine lessons and then pass the final exam. Access to the final exam will not be granted until your prior certification is approved by our team. You will be prompted to submit your prior certification upon enrollment.
We accept certifications up to 6 months after expiration. Base Medical accepts certification from other wilderness medicine organizations.
This recertification option does not include hands-on training. If you recertify online during this time, you will be required to take a recertification course with hands-on training the next time.
Upcoming Remote WFA Courses
Remote courses are non-refundable. Students who fail to show up to the training forfeit all course payment and will be required to pay full price to sign up for another training date.
