How did the candidate perform during their mentorship course? Based on your observations, do you feel they are ready to become a Certified Base Medical Instructor?

It is not expected that candidates are fully polished in course delivery at this stage. Teaching skills develop with time and experience, and Base Medical is always available to support instructors as they prepare for and deliver their first courses—and beyond. What matters most is that the candidate demonstrates solid medical knowledge, the ability to teach wilderness medicine concepts clearly and effectively, and the capacity to create a safe, inclusive learning environment while building positive rapport with students.
