Base Medical Instructor
Position Description
We are looking for instructors to teach hybrid WFA, WFR, WFR recertification, and WEMT recertification courses. Instructors must have a certification level higher than the course they are teaching (or equivelant). Candidates must have previous experience teaching wilderness medical courses, a strong work ethic, good communication skills, be reliable, and work independently. This position is not a full-time position, instructors will be contracted for each course. Course locations may be national or international. Course length varies from one day to oneweek, depending on the certification level.
Lead Instructor tasks and responsibilities include presenting Base Medical curriculum, submitting course related paperwork, coordinating scenarios, assisting students and meeting their learning needs, completing student evaluations, working with an Instructor Assistant, and more.
All instructors will complete a Base Medical hybrid course and assist other Base Medical Lead Instructors before leading a course of their own. Additional training may be required.
